About the Project
We had a deliciously fun project on our hands – a rebranding gig for, PLY! Giving them tasty makeover, but don’t worry, We’re keeping their iconic name intact – it was still PLY, folks!
Our mission? To cook up a logo that wasn’t just fresh but packed a pizza punch. Yep, you heard that right, we threw a pizza into the mix because, well, as PLY says… Pizza Loves You.
So, picture this: a logo that screamed ‘PLY’ while serving up a tasty slice of pizza creativity on the side. It was all about adding that extra cheesy flair to their brand.
The Problem
The current logo of PLY poses several challenges that necessitate a comprehensive rebranding effort. While maintaining the brand name, ‘PLY,’ our task is to inject creativity and fun into the visual identity. Key issues with the current logo include its vertical orientation, poor scalability, and a lack of clear representation of PLY’s business.
01
Vertical Limitations:
The current PLY logo is primarily vertical in orientation, which limits its versatility across various mediums. When attempting to use it in horizontal layouts, it struggles to maintain its visual impact and cohesiveness, potentially diminishing brand recognition.
02
Scaling Down Challenges:
At smaller sizes, such as on business cards or digital avatars, the details of the existing logo become difficult to discern. This issue hampers the logo’s effectiveness in maintaining brand visibility and readability, especially in today’s digital landscape.
03
Lack of Clarity in Business Representation:
From a first glance, the current logo fails to communicate PLY’s core business, which is centered around pizza. There is a noticeable absence of any visual cues or elements that associate the brand with its primary offering. This lack of clarity can hinder potential customers’ immediate understanding of PLY’s products and services.
Solution
So, we turned PLY’s logo from a shy, vertically challenged introvert into an extroverted, party-loving extravert! First off, we gave it a makeover to look equally fantastic in both horizontal and vertical formats, making it the life of the design party.
Next, we made sure this logo wouldn’t get lost in the crowd, no matter how tiny the gathering. It became the Beyoncé of logos, always in the spotlight.
Genuinely mate I think you've smashed that out of the park.
